Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE DL Takes the Helm as New APM President: Focus on Members and Project Management Excellence

The Association for Project Management (APM) welcomes Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE DL as its new President. Dr Thompson officially assumes the role in July 2024, succeeding outgoing President Sue Kershaw.

In a recent video interview, Dr Thompson outlined her key priorities for her tenure, emphasising a member-centric approach.

Dr Thompson is a passionate campaigner and has championed many worthy causes. With a wealth of experience in the communications and media sectors, she has long inspired people to stand up for their beliefs, as well as empowering others learn more, know more, do more and be more.

As President, Dr Thompson will advocate for the project profession, host APM’s high-profile events and facilitate discussions that will drive forwards project, programme and portfolio work around the world.
